WORK IN AMERICA: MONEY and MAMMON

Purpose: To provide practical help and spiritual understanding in regard to work, money, career and your own personal finances in these troubling times. This retreat will be well suited to help young men, even high school youth, men new to the country, and men dealing with the effect of the changing economy on their careers or retirement. It is designed to help you integrate work and faith for impact on family and community.

Christian ethics and Biblical teaching regarding these issues will be presented by Bruce Barkhauer, Director of Faith and Giving, from the Office of the General Minister and President of the Disciples of Christ. Practical help in thinking about and handling such things will be provided by Gary Pigg, MBA, a member United Christian Church in Fresno.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Your Registration Fee includes your hotel room. All rooms have two queen-size beds.

Breakfast is free. Dinner and lunch will be at Pea Soup Andersen’s Restaurant. The costs of these meals are not included in the registration fee. Choose what you want from the menu according to your own taste and budget.
