WELCOME TO THE NEW CHURCH MOVEMENT IN CCNC-N!

 

At the New Church Summit in 2006 our Region set a God-Sized Goal of starting 40 new churches in Northern California and Nevada by the year 2020.

Can we do it? You bet! But it is only possible with God's help and with the support of our brothers and sisters in faith throughout the Region and the wider Church. That means YOU!

NEW CHURCHES IN CCNC-N SINCE 2000

These churches are chartered and were born out of the New Church Movement since 2000.

  • Revival Christian Church in Sacramento (Korean language)
  • Gateway to Hope Christian Church in Tracy
    Disciples of Christ - Visalia

CHURCHES IN FORMATION IN CCNC-N

These churches have entered into a covenantal relationship with this Region and are working together with the New Church Movement committee as they develop into chartered congregations.

  • New Spirit Community Church in Berkeley
  • Tapestry Ministries in Berkeley
  • La Puerta Abierta Christian Church in Concord
  • the Table (formerly ReConsider Christ) in Berkeley

There are several other churches in visioning stages or in consideration of affiliating with the Disciples of Christ in this Region. We will add them to this list as they become 'official.'

It's now official. New Church Ministry, a ministry of Church Extension, recently revealed that 500 new Disciples churches have been started around the country since 2001. This is half way to our goal of beginning 1,000 new churches by the year 2020! Read more.
